Our Story
In 2017, Tim Helms joined Citizen Energy II, LLC just before its merger with Linn Energy to form Roan Resources, Inc. Recognizing the need for stronger financial processes and leadership, Tim began building a capable team to enhance the company's financial credibility and performance.
Tim recruited Jaclyn Dennis and Stephen Allman in early 2018, followed by Brittany Parcell in late 2018, creating a cohesive accounting and finance team. Together, they brought accounting functions in-house, implemented a robust financial reporting structure, and established effective internal controls that set the company on a path of sustainable growth.
Our Track Record
Successfully raised capital from Warburg Pincus and major energy lending banks, establishing strong relationships with stakeholders.
Completed a $1 billion acquisition of Roan Resources in December 2019, enhancing Citizen Energy’s operational scale and financial stability.
Integrated Roan’s operations through standardized processes and internal controls during a period of unprecedented market disruption.
Managed risk effectively through commodity hedging, ensuring positive cash flow despite challenging market conditions.
Facilitated the acquisition of Blue Mountain Midstream, increasing gas throughput from 70 mmcfd to over 200 mmcfd within 18 months.
Completed multiple acquisitions from 2021 onward, demonstrating the team’s ability to seamlessly integrate new businesses.
Achieved a successful exit with the sale of Citizen Energy to Validus Energy in 2024.
